
Last night in Dalhousie, the Atholville Canadian Tire Cardinals beat the Dalhousie Dodgers 5-3. After the first inning the Dodgers took a 2-1 lead. The pitching for both teams stepped up. Serge Lebel was on the mound for the Dodgers, while Pierre Arseneault was on mound duty for the Cards. In the 4th inning the Dodgers scored a run to take a 3-1 lead. In the top of the 5th the Cards exploded with 4 runs to take a 5-3 lead. At this point the Cards sent out Luc Fallu to shut down the Dodgers offense.
Pierre Arseneault was credited with the win; trowing 4 complete innings, allowing 0 earned runs, 4 hits an sitting down 2 batters. Luc Fallu was credited with the save; trowing 3 complete innings, 0 earned runs, 1 hit and striking out 6 Dodger batters.
The Cards will be on the road Monday May 31st, while they will be visiting The Bathurst Red Sox for an 8 pm start at Vickers Field.
